Mexican Caribbean Golf is fascinating: imagine playing a round of golf in paradise. The illustrious Distintivo "H" program, inaugurated in May of 2002, aims to improve the overall experience for travelers in Mexico by adopting leading World Health Organizations demanding exacting standards of hygiene for all sectors of the food & beverage industry and assuring a safe, monitored discovery of one of Mexico's finest culture assets-its gastronomy. Distintivo "H" has positioned itself as Mexico's official standard for evaluating all food-related industries and is the highest seal of approval one can receive.

In order to qualify for this certification, establishments must voluntarily submit themselves to a thorough evaluation conducted by a certified government inspector. From supplier procedures to client consumption, more than 100 aspects of the operations are monitored and evaluated. These include purchasing, delivery, handling, preservation, storage, temperatures, serving methods and ultimately, the service with which food & beverages are delivered. Additionally, comprehensive food and hygiene training must be provided to at least 60% of the establishments` staff including the general manager and the head chef.
